I bought these to pull out some left hand threaded bolts. The usual easy outs didn't work. The casting at the bolt break was warped and if it hadn't been the bolts would have come out easily. I found the drill guide recommendation a bit small, but I was working with class 8 hardware. You really have to hammer them into the hole you drilled in the broken bolt and then use a socket wrench to unscrew the bolt. Several screws were very tight and I was afraid the smaller piece I used would break. It's not like this. Removing the bolt from the bit can be difficult. I clamped the rest of the screw in a vise and wiggled the pliers to loosen it. They will definitely come in handy.
