I have never used non HP Brank ink but they had good reviews and I gave them a try. The price was too good to be true. The printer reported that this is not a genuine product, but it worked fine for a few pages. Then I didn't print for a couple of weeks. Black and magenta were heavily smeared, making the images unreadable. Running the printhead utility multiple times did not resolve the issue. I watched two YouTube videos on cleaning the printheads and followed the instructions. This didn't solve the problem. I bought and installed original HP cartridges. This didn't solve the problem. Buying a new printhead is 75% of the cost of a new printer. Maybe I'll buy a new printer too. Obviously others have used these cartridges successfully, but in my experience they have cost me the price of a new printer. Do not use with the HP 8610 printer.
