We bought the treadmill for the obvious reason; The treadmill works well, but every time it is turned on, the radio and TV reception in my house turns to hash. As a radio amateur and shortwave radio enthusiast, I *really* dislike RFI! After some research, I found that the Tripp Lite IBAR4 product not only offers significant surge protection, but also includes good RFI rejection circuitry. for suppressing radio interference from 40 to 80 dB (manufacturer information). That's quite a lot. So I bought one. After the treadmill was connected to the IBAR4, the interference was greatly reduced, so we are no longer blind, deaf and dumb on the radio and television when the treadmill is running. surge protector only, but if you have RFI issues then this is a *great* product and should go a long way in reducing it. I plan to buy a few more of these (or possibly other versions of the same product with more outlets) for my ham radio and computer systems. Overall I am very satisfied.
