Attempt to use this to check compression on a rebuilt engine. With this tool the readings are low and the rubber hose is garbage. It detaches directly from the barb and isn't reinforced at all, so the pressure swells in the rubber hose instead of affecting the sensor. Not worth buying. And don't waste time trying to harness it. I'm going straight to the trash because I can't trust him.

Overall a good product with a nice digital display. I checked the included "Chinese" non-alkaline batteries before using the sensor and found them to be weak (no wonder). I have a good battery tester that does a battery test under load so it's accurate. I put in the batteries that came with the unit, put in new alkaline batteries and it works fine.

This kit is not accurate at all. There is no valve at the end of the hose. I'll never tell you the correct compression without it. I'm pretty sure the sensor is fine, but without the valve it will always be wrong. For example I checked my Kawasaki 650 engine and got 65psi (when I actually have 65psi it won't start) and with the help of my buddy the cylinders showed 120psi on the compression gauge. Pretty big difference

I bought this to test the compression on a 1980 Jeep CJ7 4.2L (258). The spark plugs are approximately 14mm in diameter, measured with a digital caliper. The supposed 14mm hose just slides right into the spark plug holes leaving room for a spare. Of course, none of the "adapters" work. Maybe I just got a "bad block"; I don't know, never mind. I'm so disgusted I just threw it in the trash; I won't even waste time with a return.

I received a product that had a problem. I emailed Azuno on Saturday night and explained the issue while waiting for a response after the weekend. The next day (Sunday) I received a response that a new item had been dispatched and they apologized for the problem. I received the replacement part on Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. It's very incredible. It worked for what I needed it for. I was working on a two cylinder Kohler and had a problem. One cylinder had high compression, the other didn't. After disassembling the engine, I found that the problem was in the rings. Whoever built this engine for Kohler himself, back in 2014, the rings didn't wobble. Needless to say, it ended up in the crankcase and the oil flowed back through the crankcase into the carburetor. Great compression afterwards.

I bought this and another cheap tester to replace an old gauge that was only reading 90psi on a new engine that was reading 120 prior to break-in. I was concerned when this gauge also read 90psi, then I kept checking and comparing to two other cheap gauges. The numbers were everywhere, I'm assuming the hose or fitting going to the head is the main culprit as I got more consistent numbers when I swapped out the hoses.
