Works as advertised. I've been using this device for over 10 months with no problems. I originally used this on my entertainment system (100w) and never heard the fan turn on. It wasn't until I used a 400W heating element or 550W rice cooker that I heard the fan turn on for the first time. This device easily supports 550W of continuous power. I also verified that it produces a pure sine wave using an old analog oscilloscope. However, when plugging in a switching power supply (such as a laptop charger), a "glitch" occurs at the top of each sine wave. This can cause hum on cheap audio equipment. This device also generates a lot of high frequency noise on the DC input. So if you have some small projects (Raspberry Pi) running on battery, you need a way to filter out that noise. It seems that this device does not turn off automatically when the battery is low. It emits a loud, high-pitched beep, so you must be close to this device to turn it off. Otherwise, I've noticed that as the battery voltage decreases, it can get into a state where the output immediately drops to 70VAC. At this point the "battery fails" causing the output voltage to go back to normal, only to drop back down to 70VAC. So it goes into this infinite loop until you turn it off.
