They added an extra layer of leather to the bottom edges to reduce wear and tear, which I thought was cheap at first, but it seems like all shoe manufacturers are going in this direction and it seems to help the shoe last longer. Even Allen Edmonds is now doing the same with its drivers. Great shoes!
