Fairy fan - read instructions!

I always read negative reviews (assuming they exist) when I think about buying from Revain because I don't know why anyone would write a false bad review. I understand that there can be positive reviews that are completely fake. Anyway, while reading reviews, I've noticed that some people who write reviews don't pay attention to product instructions, which means their bad review isn't a good example of any type of review. For example, someone reviewed a microwave I wanted to order. They said it was turquoise and not stainless steel, which was odd since the manufacturer doesn't make anything out of turquoise. I personally saw this article at Target and noticed that the device's case was protected by a thin sheet of plastic - and indeed, it was turquoise. Someone tore off a corner to reveal the stainless steel case as stated on the box. I mention this because I wrongly thought that this fan was defective upon arrival. It's not - it might just look like someone didn't read the instructions. Like many people, I tend to skip instructions for simple items like a fan. First I inserted two batteries and then turned on the fan - nothing. I immediately remembered many reviews that the fan works great with a plug, but not with batteries. Then I noticed a small strip of plastic in the battery compartment and couldn't figure out what it was for. Finally, with a little pull, the entire battery cage fell out of the fan! OK - that takes four batteries. moron! I put in two more batteries, put the cage back in the fan, turn on the fan - it doesn't work. All batteries were brand new and I knew they worked. Finally I looked at the instructions and it turned out that the adapter cable CANNOT be plugged into the fan to run it on batteries! Removing the cable allowed the fan to run on batteries. And the plug allows the fan to work without batteries (of course, batteries can stay in the cage). The fan was bought for travel but I liked it so much that I use it in the bathroom at home when it's hot. It ensures sufficient cooling during preparation and prevents the air conditioning from starting. When traveling, it works as both a cooling system and a sound machine. I like it!
