I really like this rug. I usually just put my flat iron on it, but if I also use a curling iron, they both fit, but it's tight. Really only useful for one hot tool at a time. The bag is cool although I didn't have to use it. It's definitely heat resistant, I haven't had any issues with it, and since it's a pouch, it has enough layers that I don't have to worry about my granite countertops. Love!
