The bottom pivot closest to the controller can't support the weight of the new iPad 7th Gen. While the rest of the adjustable pivot points can be hand-tightened with the available lever, the bottom lever isn't - it can only be tightened with a hex wrench, and the rear nut (probably 7mm) is difficult to reach. with socket, depending on available tools. I own and have tried a variety of outlets; Either the socket is too wide to fit in the recess that the nut sits in, or I couldn't find a metric or standard size to match. I took the mount to Lowe's where the clerk was kind enough to open each boxed socket set to help me find the right one - no luck. And we tested EVERYTHING imaginable in the store. There is also a fixed dowel pin where the two sides engage with a locking bolt and closer inspection reveals that this pivot point may not be able to be tightened anyway on this current design. I'm not sure why the manufacturer didn't include a cocking lever on the lower pivot. When the top two pivot points are locked, the lowest pivot point near the base (which inserts into the controller's grips) becomes the area on the mount that carries the most weight or stress when holding a full-size tablet . To be honest, I ordered in a hurry because of the relatively large number of positive reviews, but unfortunately I only noticed a negative review that points to this problem after receiving it. And the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I re-read the reviews and looked for photos showing how it should be done - the graphic instructions that came with the product could have been a lot better in my opinion. While this mount is a good start to what could be a great design, the manufacturer's inability to provide a better way to tighten the lowest pivot point makes it impractical for owners of full-size iPads or similar-weight tablets.
