Excellent case. I chose the 400q because I need a slimmer case than my 4 year old case that looked like a drunken rave. I'm not talking about the cool nzxt or phanteks with RGB lighting, I'm talking about the crappy look from the early to mid 2000s. That's why I chose this case, which has no side window and has built-in noise cancellation. It looks amazing, I love that it only has the logo on the front with no text. I currently have 3 120mm fans in front for intake, 2 140mm fans on top for exhaust and 1 120mm fan in rear. Compared to my old case which was pink, my CPU idle temp has gone from mid 30s to mid 20s, the ambient temp in my room is typically 23-24 degrees Celsius during the day. This case also comes with a fan controller that plugs into your PSU and supports 3-4 fans which is good as my old phone only has 2 fan headers not counting the CPU cooler. So it's great to be able to control the speed when I need it, rather than just turning it on at full power all the time. For the most part, it's very easy to embed. The included SSD rack is good, but might interfere with cable routing behind the motherboard. Also, be careful with large power supplies. The case comes with a PSU shroud to keep the cables inside, at least I'm guessing as the 400q doesn't have a window so aesthetics inside don't matter much other than airflow. Unfortunately, the shroud can be at a premium when you have a large power supply. The hard disk slot is located directly in front of the power supply bay and can lead to space restrictions. Speaking of airflow, I really like how the front of the case is designed. Large air intake openings with magnetic dust filters help keep the case clean and tidy while letting plenty of air through. It seems that the clips holding it to the body can break easily, so be careful with the front when removing it. It is safer to open the case and push down on the plastic latches to remove the front panel. The only thing that I think would make this case perfect would be if Corsair included a top-of-the-line dust filter with the Q model. I'm glad they kept the top fan mounts, but the fans don't cover the entire top grille, so I can imagine dust falling and settling fairly easily. for fans kills part of the noise reduction. But even with my fans on max and the Hyper 212 Evo I have on my CPU, it's still very quiet compared to my old case. Aio/water cooling) and improved my thermal performance by about 7-10 degrees Celsius - a good magnetic dust filter for the front air intake and an included dust filter for the bottom PSU air intake. The filter used on the 400c looks like a nuisance - it should have stronger mounts for the front of the cabinet, not plastic clips. .UPDATE - I recently updated to Ryzen. This case did the job perfectly and I was able to easily replace my phone. Took about half an hour with some extra cables. I also have a Noctua NH D15 and in this case had no issues with the huge CPU cooler placed in a front-to-back airflow configuration. Great case, definitely plan on using it for years to come.
