So I bought this to use in place of the blackout curtains in my office. It peeled off fairly easily and looked great immediately after application and blocked the light well. After about a week, however, the tape began to transmit light because it was not sticking to itself. In other words, if you lay it in overlapping strips; The top protective strip peels off and falls off the bottom. So no more dimming; but the real problem showed up when I tried to remove it from the window. The adhesive sticks to the window so tightly that trying to remove it tears the tape off. Leaves a huge mess on the window which then has to be cleaned up with a ton of scrap glue and solvents before you can try anything worse for the blackout. It was indescribably awful. Take my advice - don't put that stuff on the window pane.
