I bought this as an inexpensive and easy way to empty my daughter's baby pool for cleaning. My needs quickly expanded and this compact pump covered them all! I read the reviews and noticed that several people didn't like it. No idea why, because this little pump quickly takes care of any small pumping project. Well-packed with several versatile attachments, this little guy is easy to set up and use. It's a bit heavy for its size, but I feel it's necessary to hold it in the salty depths of my 2-foot pond and 18-inch paddling pool. It's quiet compared to other pumps I've used, but still makes moderate noise, so definitely don't leave it on overnight. I can see he's having a little trouble climbing steep climbs, although I haven't had a problem to solve yet. don't want to save the pond or pool when cleaning.
