Harry is a big old kitten who has never lost his taste for running out the door. This is a 20lb fighter that can knock you off your feet in its attempts to evade you, so it needs to be called. Every time we open the door we need to know where Harry is. His old collar hasn't snapped, and the last time he jumped out into the backyard, he got caught on a wisteria vine when he decided to duck under the bushes. It didn't matter much since he wasn't climbing, but it was a wake-up call nonetheless. Then the collar lost the bell. By this time I had a new detachable collar ready, but my husband's aging ears couldn't hear the high-pitched ringing, so Harry was still able to sneak around without warning. I ordered this pack of tear strips and - good luck! The call is good to hear, but Harry failed. It has an 11.5 inch neck and the collar fits with enough room. The clasp is easy to use and if it gets stuck again it's safe - and we have spare collars on hand. Good collar at a good price. We're happy with it.
