Will not fall

All my previous experiences with car mounts have involved falling things. I've had various Garmins with Garmin mounts and they always fell off (whether from the windshield or the window). It got to the point where I left my GPS on the entire time I was using it so I could pull it out with one hand on the power cord if it fell on the floor panel while driving. did it a lot Inevitable when driving in very heavy, crazy traffic with less than a mile exit. So I can compare this bracket. This mount came with a disk to put on the dash, but I didn't want to rip off the old Garmin disk. I was afraid it would damage my dashboard since this thing has been there for about 12 years. I considered stacking the drives on top of each other but decided to try the new bracket on the old drive first. The mount barely fits my old Garmin drive. The included disc is slightly larger. But it came. You just have to be very careful to line it up as the fit is very tight. And it does NOT fall. To be honest I can't even tear it off. I need my husband to take it off when I want to take it off and he takes a minute or two to take it off. I've had it for two months now. He's had a decent number of city and country trips and has been on one trip so far. Lots of bumpy roads and the like. And never fallen. It's everything I really wanted. There was something not to fall. It fits my iPhone SE well. My case makes it difficult to connect the phone while it's in the holder, so I just plug it in before I put it in the holder. I like how it's arranged. I was able to easily position it where it was comfortable for me. The air vents in my car didn't match the vent clips and they were too low for me to easily see. This one is perfect. The only thing I can't talk about is how meltable it can be. He mostly spent the hot days at the end of summer in the garage. There is not much chance that the gel will melt. Although for what I wanted it's great. It barely fits on an existing Garmin drive and won't fall over. He never dropped my phone. It was a good buy.

  • Not bad, but...
