Review on Cables Unlimited ZIP 1394 C08 Retractable Firewire by Adam Tidd

Despite the excellent form factor and portability, I cannot recommend this product. I received one and quickly spent an entire night trying to set up a FireWire connection between two Windows XP laptops. Much effort was expended to finally show that the cable was faulty. The next day I bought a regular, non-retractable, much thicker 4-4 FireWire cable instead, which worked the first time. Moral of the story: Don't make the light/thin cable you need to get something working!
