My dog is 30 pounds. I bought him an XL and he should fit 35-45 pounds. My dog's circumference is 24" and this coat should fit up to a 26.77". The coat is made in the form of a puzzle with a separate chest piece that fastens with Velcro on each side. Once the bib is in place, it sits crooked. An armhole digs into his armpit and the collar is crooked. It is not warm. It's just two pieces of thin material sewn together and wafer-thin. I was shocked when I took the bag and it was so light and thin. Very disappointed. The next day I checked it out on the Revains website and it was $2 cheaper. They are probably trying to get rid of them quickly. I won't do my best to get it back. I hope my friend's 18 year old dog can wear it.
