later I bought the 4"x2" version to use on my band saw and was surprised to find that the inside diameter is larger than expected (actually: 4-3/8" and 2-1/4". β " ), but despite its strength, it easily snaps onto the connector. Another benefit for me was that the 2" side easily slides over 2" Schedule 40 PVC pipe and even up to 2-3/8" pipe extension! Of course, adapting band saws and table saws to different pipe sizes is cheaper because it reduces the need for custom-sized connectors.
