Beeps while charging - great warranty service

After 2 years and 3 weeks my Healthy White Plus toothbrush stopped working. While it was on the cradle, it would emit repeated beeps that sounded like slow Morse code (1 long, 2 short). Shortly thereafter, the brush did not turn on, although some LEDs were lit (green). I did a google search and found that others had the same issue (check the Sonicare facebook page). I've tried charging the brush for 24 hours and then holding the power button for a few seconds to reset the brush as others have suggested, but that didn't help. Luckily, my brush came with an offer to extend the 2-year warranty by six months if I signed up online (which I did). So today I called Sonicare Support (800-682-7664, they work weekends!). After waiting 5 minutes, I, a nice person named William, answered a short series of diagnostic questions. He determined the unit was defective (probably due to a poor water seal) and arranged for a replacement to be sent. The warranty replacement notification came to my email within 5 minutes of our call! I need a tracking number when the device ships. Overall, this is one of the best warranty claims I've come across. Unfortunately, my brush broke, but I found out that the Philips Sonicare division is behind their products - a rarity in today's consumer electronics. Of course, replacement brush heads for Sonicare are a lucrative source of income, so the usefulness of those brush heads also benefits. I strongly recommend everyone to register their brushes online as it greatly simplifies the warranty process.
