I actually bought this oil filter grab in response to the temporary loss of my Craftsman version which I have owned for about 9 years. Eventually I found my Craftsman tool but used it as my daily oil change driver. At first it seems like it's a free game that can cause problems, but it actually allows me to stuff it in places where my handyman couldn't. It's also very flat without an adapter (which I don't use and currently sits somewhere at the bottom of the toolbox) that now fits any Honda engine. Including Earth Dream V6 engines with low ground clearance and a filter that is literally half an inch from the subframe. I always recommend using this tool with two hands at all times, with one holding the handle around the filter and the other holding the ratchet for maximum grip. This tool is designed to deform the filter and only to remove it. This will destroy the filter after removal. Which is no different than my old Artisan Claw. The finish on it probably won't see too much corrosion since it sits on used oil for 90% of its life, so I'm not too worried about that.
