There is NO ELASTIC on the waistband. False advertising.
The size is mostly right, but if your boy is exactly 16, it can be uncomfortable. So I was planning to buy a size 16 with a little more. No matter what the label on the pants says, and no matter what the description says, they have absolutely no elasticity or stretch. Also, the material is thin and feels cheaply sewn together. If I knew all that, I would buy a completely different pair of pants. DO NOT BUY.
