Story: I rolled some dice once while playing Yahtzee for one player. I dropped a dice and it went under the table so I went to pick it up but then I banged my head on the table like a complete idiot and passed out. When I woke up, I wasn't living in the room anymore. I could hear the water like I was in the sea. People talked and laughed. What happened? As I sat down I felt my 5 dice play in my hand. "Hello?" I said. The people I heard stopped talking and walked over to where I was lying on the floor. They asked me who I was, why I wear strange clothes and how I managed to get on their huge yacht. I wish I knew the answers. After a few hours, meeting people on board the yacht, I realized that not only had I been transported to a different place, but that I had traveled back in time to the 1940's. The crew were very friendly and had a great day on the water far from their homes in Canada. We chatted, I told them a bit about the future and introduced them to Yahtzee. They thought it was funny and started calling the game "Yacht" because it sounded like the game's name. Take me ashore and see what they can do for me in the morning. When I woke up I was back in the living room, lying under the table, and my head hurt a little. It was all a dream even though it seemed so real. I got up off the floor and was about to sit down to think about what had happened when I suddenly felt my bones in my left hand and a piece of paper in my right. I had my 5-cube Yahtzee, but I also had the score sheet we used on the yacht, ratings and names, everything. Was it a dream? Or is it a paradox? We'll never know. Damn friends, this is probably the easiest game to play and also allows you to set your own house rules. It'll excite you when you keep throwing what you need, and it annoys you like hell when you just want bonus points but the bones decide to hate you. A good way to define Yahtzee is dice poker. You have three of a kind and a four, a full house and straights. This is such a simple game but fun genius. The game gives you five dice. You have up to three throws per round to complete one of the thirteen squares on the score sheet. On the first roll, you can set aside any dice you want to keep and roll the rest on your second turn. After the second roll, you can keep more dice or even reroll any dice you initially set aside. After deciding which dice to put on one side, it's the third and final roll. Whatever you have after that you have to score even if you can't put a mark anywhere because you didn't get what you need you have to fill in the cell even if you have to put a zero. has two sections, upper section and lower section, each containing different objectives. Above we are talking about individual numbers from 1 to 6, so if you roll three fives you can score 15 points in the five box and if you are lucky enough to get four of them you can score 20 points instead. which is very helpful. After filling in the upper part, add up the points, if it's 63 points or more, you get a bonus of 35 points on the final mark. This is a crucial factor, so working on the top part is very important to get a bonus. Below you have a number of different things to aim for. To get a triple, you need at least three identical dice. So let's say you are dealt three fours. You have to add them all up with the other dice to get a total, and you can get four of them. same dice and still score them here if you've already used your four of a kind, which of course is a four of a kind, and add a fifth die for scoring. Easy.Full House is three of the same dice and the other two dice must be the same with a different number, this is worth 25 points. A small straight is a sequence of four numbers in a row, such as 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 3, 4, 5 and 6. This scores 30 points. The big straight is the same but with all the dice rolling, so it would be a sequence of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on. Large - 40 points. So there are several different versions of Yahtzee, although Hasbro owns the actual franchise, there are a few rip-offs. If you ever play an online game, chances are you'll get different scoring rules than you would in a physical game. My game has bonus boxes for extra Yahtzee, but in online games you can usually put 100 extra points in each box, which I personally don't like. Let's say you get a second Yahtzee under this rule and put 100 points in the top box. This guarantees you a bonus and makes the game a bit silly in my opinion. The rule I use is the best and allows for a more exciting game. If you manage to get the second Yahtzee you get 100 points and don't use any of the crates, it just means you have an extra turn. Also, I don't have a Yahtzee limit that a player can get, like I said, it makes the game more exciting. I've had games where we scored four Yahtzee goals and scored mega points. This can wipe out opponents, but they have an equal chance of doing so if the dice are good and you don't make the top section pointless for an easy bonus. Once the top and bottom sections are filled add them both up, the highest score is the winner. Yahtzee is still a fun game to play alone to see how well you can play and how much Yahtzee you can get, but nothing beats the experience of playing with as many people as possible. A great game that you can play absolutely anywhere. Do me a favor, if you know someone who doesn't know Yahtzee, show them this. It helps them in life. One thing I usually find when introducing someone to the game is that newcomers are always lucky and get like three Yahtzee. It's good that they're getting a taste of fame and I think the dice have a mind of their own, they like to be thrown. If the dice don't let a newbie win in style, do they think they won't be thrown again? It's also surprising how many people haven't heard of Yahtzee until now. I can probably understand that many of the later games are unfamiliar to people who only know Monopoly, but Yahtzee has been around for over 60 years.
