I may have just been unlucky to get a lemon but my stool (no back) arrived with a scratched and corroded chrome base. Set up was very easy and didn't take long. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get the B-pillar to sit at right angles to the base. It looked like an up and down movement as I moved my chair in a full circle. The seat is comfortable I must add. If you don't mind tilting the seat then this might be a good buy for you. Like I said, maybe I'm the exception to the rule. If I had to guess I would say they sent me a used and broken stool. Luckily I was approved for a full refund and free return shipping.
