I had an $8k Hobart slicer, that's not it. I used this $70 roast beef cutter and it worked great. The thickness gauge is a little lame, but still easy to dial. As long as you don't try to work too fast and let the tool do its job, you'll get good discs. Cleaning is very easy compared to all other slicers I've used. You don't want to use it to cut meat to make 1 sandwich, but cutting a larger batch is worth the cleanup time. I love it and would recommend it.
