disgusting! You are sending a used product!

You are shipping used items, there may be food leftovers in the screw holes. The switch is also in the "ON" position after being removed from the packaging! Very disgusting!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not the best

Difficult to clean in the kitchen and dining room

The advantage of this food slicer is that it is stable and does not jump during use. The cut is average, even after an hour of freezing the meat, the bottom of the slices was torn and shredded. The cleaning effort far outweighs all the advantages of this food slicer. I would not recommend it.

Good food slicer for small appliances

I've used it a few times and mostly it does the job of slicing. The trailing edge is not always cut off. The thickness changes easily by simply pushing the food through. When cutting our raw sausage, the motor seems to choke. This slicer does the job, so that's good. Cleaning is good but there are a few areas that cannot be removed making the job difficult.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Good cheap slicer, best in small units

I had an $8k Hobart slicer, that's not it. I used this $70 roast beef cutter and it worked great. The thickness gauge is a little lame, but still easy to dial. As long as you don't try to work too fast and let the tool do its job, you'll get good discs. Cleaning is very easy compared to all other slicers I've used. You don't want to use it to cut meat to make 1 sandwich, but cutting a larger batch is worth the cleanup time. I love it and would recommend it.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Used Item - Specialty Household Appliances

The box itself was fine when I received it. box I could see scratches on the record and other sticky spots on the blade. Definitely NOT a new product. I trusted them as it was the company that owns the product line, but it's disappointing that they did. Having 4 stars means you are more likely to receive a new product, but you should be aware that they do this with multiple customers as well. I personally suck at it more because it was meant to be a gift.

Very difficult to clean

Does this appliance cut food as advertised? Absolutely, and he does it well (average: 4 out of 5 stars). Also, it gets a bit noisy when cutting as food debris accumulates behind the blade. The big problem with this slicer is that whoever designed it obviously never thought it would ever need cleaning. Food will become trapped in several places behind the blade (the channel containing the screws must be at least 1/2 inch deep and cannot be cleaned) and on the infeed table and infeed table wheelโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never

Very good efficient slicer

Our first application was slicing boneless ham. The thickness control wobbled a bit, but once installed it was solid and it was easy to get the section thickness you wanted. The serrated blade is very sharp and cuts the ham easily and evenly. The extendable dining table held the ham well and slid easily across the trolley. Engine noise levels are predictable, but it's certainly not overly loud. Non-slip feet keep the food slicer firmly on the tabletop. Removing the blade for cleaning was aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
