I live in an apartment so drilling holes for a dish is not an option. I've read a lot about these flat coaxes and many places say they shouldn't be used because they can be prone to interference or interfere with the higher frequencies of today's satellite components. There may be fakes out there, but this one is great! I was able to squeeze it between the window and the screen, discreet enough to go outside. It feels like a high quality and well made product; It's heavy and solid and doesn't feel cheap at all. If you're going to use it with a sliding door, just be aware that you may need to replace it from time to time, and that's what the instructions say. But at this price point, even if you have to replace it every year or so, it's not too bad. But through a window or from the hinge side of a door, this is a smart and awesome product for any apartment occupant!
