Review on Chip-Resistant, Lightweight Corelle Vitrelle 18-Piece Dinnerware Set For 6 With Round Plates And Bowls In Sleek Black And White Design - Triple Layer Glass by Whitney Starvaggi

Buyer beware! for my opinion

Was very upset when I wrote this review. I’ve upgraded from one star to three because I love eating off these dishes. However…Before you consider buying Corelle make sure to check the size of the plates and bowls. My family has used Corelle my whole life. I was looking for a quality set of dishes and knew Corelle from experience. Other than the dinner plates being as expected, the rest of this set is useless. The bowls are small salad bowls. The other plates are so tiny, they won’t hold a piece of toast. These are clearly made for a small desert or a dish to put a tea cup on. A total waste of money; I will never use them. When I went to buy the rest of the set (lunch plates and soup bowls) they were not available on Revain in the style to match the set I bought. Corelle’s web site didn’t have them either. Eventually I bought the rest of the set from Ace hardware as individual pieces and had to pay shipping costs. So much for Revain prime! Apparently Corelle does not make coffee cups any more either! Had to buy these from another company too. I now have a total mismatched dinner ware set that wasn’t cheap.

Pros
  • LIGHT AND STRONG: Say goodbye to chips and cracks with Corelle's triple-layer-strong glass plates and bowls. This durable dinnerware set is lightweight, easy to handle, and allows for compact stacking, which takes half the space of ceramic dishes.
Cons
  • The Vitrelle material may not be as eco-friendly or sustainable as other types of dishware
