The black markers are excellent, the color goes on smoothly and has a full coverage finish. Both thin and thick nibs are accurate enough to bring out detail, and bold nibs also provide good color shading. Unfortunately, white markings do not cause any complaints. Thin feathers practically do not flow, and the coating is translucent at best. Thick nibs flow well over most surfaces, but the opacity is still not as rich as black ones. The white also doesn't layer well, instead of becoming a solid white it turns into mottled whites. My children don't mind their projects
