Review on πŸ’½ Corsair Black CSSD-BRKT2 Dual SSD Mounting Bracket - 3.5 Inch by Scott Welch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy; fits Dell XPS Tower 8930

SSD in the Dell XPS 8930 Tower I wanted the SSD in "bottom" of the two bays (which happened to be the top of the two in the final orientation), but as other reviewers have pointed out, it's a little tricky as the screws don't adhere to the magnetic drive and there's no easy way around otherwise keep the screw in place. I think tweezers will do if you need to mount two drives. I only needed one, so I just installed it in an easily accessible bay. The image shows the Corsair installed in a Dell removable drive bay. The SSD is installed with the label facing down (with the Corsair logo also facing down) to ensure the SATA connector is properly oriented to engage the data and power cables at a 90 degree angle. The screws provided were fine, but I was surprised that they all have slots for a #2 Phillips bit and not the smaller #1 or #0 in my set of precision screwdrivers that have two "sharp/pointed" bits. are to fit fully into the grooves. I'm not used to small screws with such a large screwdriver. the two are "sharp/pointed" to fit fully into the slots.
