not for small parts, and it's not easy either.

First, both will spread if you slide them around the objects that make them up, unless you block them. However, when you fix it, they move and the spread makes the contour inaccurate. You can make them accurate by holding the sides together and then manually sliding the sticks around the specified object, but this reduces usability. Neither of these work well for small, fine details, but they can be used for larger objects. You cannot get a metric reading as the reeds are 1/16 inch. The locks also seem weak. The smaller blue one snaps making it difficult to use, the tabs don't slide well. Getting it to work depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. Overall I feel like it still saves time, but not as much as I was hoping.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs
