Review on G Skill DDR4 3200 CL14 Gtzn by Agata Zubrzycka ᠌

The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

I want to warn potential buyers against this particular model (and, in fact, probably the entire Trident Z series). He became a loser who came across some specific marriage in the series, which is apparently activated under some special circumstances and conditions for assembling a PC. Possibly bugged firmware of one of the modules. One of the two modules in the kit specifically for my build (AMD processor, B450 chipset, MSI motherboard) started to crash when loading the BIOS, preventing it from starting, while the second module is completely normal. The seller company ("Regard") at the same time conducted tests at home and allegedly found nothing, although they did not give a damn about the issue and conducted a test only based on an assembly for Intel (Pentium Gold G6400 processor and Asus motherboard on the B560-F chipset) - this is of course a separate issue regarding this "great" company with zero responsibility to the buyer. Those. it seems that this defective module does not conflict with a specific specified chipset and assembly for Intel - but anyway, the presence of such a specific defect may indicate that any kit in the entire series may also have similar errors, so I do not recommend this series to purchase. Perhaps that is why they are now almost nowhere to be found - the manufacturer could find out about the marriage and stop production and shipment, while it seems like they did not talk about it publicly.

Pros
  • High-quality packaging, one module of the kit works fine, it turned out to be impossible to evaluate the work due to marriage.
Cons
  • Warning about marriage in the series (more details in the comments), not recommended for purchase.
