not HEAVY FLANNEL but what you need i had a pair of these and it has taken me 5 years to wear them, the durability is excellent take them a little more because they shrink little, for except that they are comfortable for lounging and sleeping. I wear a 36 so I have a 38 which is what I mean by being 'a little' larger than what you normally wear. Good product
