Lightweight, easy to carry on your back. This size is enough for a water bag. Which hold quite a bit of water. The hose comes out of the bag and you just suck the water out of the hose like a giant straw. I filled mine and left it in the freezer for a while and then it melted throughout the day, but I've always had cold water, it makes every hike better. The way it's designed feels light on your back. Definitely something I now never go on a long hike or walk without.
