Review on Speaker Adapter Spacer Rings SAK011_55 1 by Alex Tilden

At first I thought the spacer wouldn't fit. That was my fault. A review from another Durango owner saved my ass. I thought I would have to throw these pads away but he explained that they were perfect for his needs. I gave them another chance and realized it was user error. (Thanks buddy!) A few points: - Keep the old speaker bracket: I figured this product would replace the original bracket and installed the gasket right on my back door. I turn on the radio - the new speaker sounded very weak. I researched online and came to the conclusion that I did everything wrong. This space is perfect for an OEM mounting bracket and allows for the attachment of a speaker. I originally threw away the OEM mounting bracket and had to dig it out of my trash. Luckily I was able to salvage the old speakers and separate them from the bracket. The Dremel was required: the holes in the spacer lined up perfectly with the plastic bracket. I had to cut out the inner ring to fit my new 6.5 inch speakers. From there it was easy to connect the speakers. I'm a beginner but pretty handy so luckily I had self-tapping screws. The screws that come with the gasket are pretty crappy, but the product itself is amazing. Mounting issues can arise: the spacer is much thicker than the glue used to attach my old speakers to the mounting bracket. This may affect the installation when assembling the door. I had to remove the screen that came with my speaker and had no problem fitting the door over the new speaker. Good product. I'm so glad I bought two pairs. I used one pair for the rear speakers and plan on using another pair to replace the front speakers. Such a great product. Thick, strong, but easily modified by Dremel. My speakers made a splash and the setup was a little tricky, but it turned out really well. Good product!
