Review on LG 38WQ88C W Inch Curved UltraWide Monitor: Immersive 3840X1600 Display with On Screen Control and Dynamic Action Sync by Joseph Jahad

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lots of screen real estate; lame control and power supply

I like a big screen and this monitor fits my desk really well thanks to the simple design. What I don't like is that when the monitor is turned off, after a relatively short period of time, the power to all connected devices, such as my laptop, is also turned off. One night I forgot to turn off my laptop and in the morning the battery was dead. I also don't like the fact that you can't control this monitor at all from the Mac Book Pro I connected it to. This monitor seems to represent the best of the weak group of monitors suited for the Mac Book Pro. (I have the latest 15-inch touchpad model.) I miss the days when Apple sold monitors. It may have been overpriced, but it worked really well with my MBP systems.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • little things
