Review on πŸ“¦ Nimitz 2nd HDD SDD Caddy for MacBook Pro Unibody: Easy Expansion with USB Enclosure! by Jim Cronin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great on my Late 2011 15 " Macbook Pro, just a few minor issues.

Works great on my Late 2011 15" Macbook Pro, easy to install. The only issues I have with the set are the quality of the tools. They belong to the cheese class and are very easy to remove. I have my own, but if you didn't have one you'd end up in a world of pain and have to hunt down a set of hardened metal tools. Also, the outer case of the drive is made of very cheap plastic and looks and feels cheap. It does the job and is cheap so it's not a problem, just an observation. When you slide your old hard drive into the DVD bay, be prepared for the loud noise the drive makes. Because it's next to the DVD slot, the drive's sound is very clear. If I had to do it all over again, I would get a larger SSD and skip moving the old HDD and use it as an external drive instead. All in all it's a good kit, it does what it's supposed to do and it's cheap. So if you are looking for one, it will work just fine. are you thinking of making a trade for it.

Pros
  • Hands-free calling
Cons
  • Very expensive
