Bought these radios for a 7 year old girl and she just loves them. We tested the audio quality throughout the house and outside and it was very clear. They're relatively easy to use and you can figure everything out without looking at the instructions, although you'll need a screwdriver to install the batteries (which aren't included). The range (2 miles) is better than most other models I've looked at and I love that they don't have the typical kid figures, but they also don't look like what adults would use in the military .
