The jig has two flat sides, so if you are using it to make jewelry you cannot use it as a dowel. Also, the bottom fell off when I carefully placed it on the counter 20 seconds after opening. The lines on the gauge also don't match up with other measurements, which is confusing. I have to buy another one to use for what I need so I gave it 1 star but it might work for others.
