While the posts feel solid, the "sleeves " are very thin plastic
This is rubbish. While the bars appear solid, the "eyelets" are very thin plastic and will NOT snap together - they are too small to fit around the bar. Yes, I have read and followed the instructions. If the sleeves converge on one side, they don't connect on the other. There were only a few "plastic cups" in the kit and most of the ones that were present were broken. No wonder, because they were hardly thicker than a plastic bag. I can't imagine how this mechanical setup could ever support its shelves let alone ยฃ350 per shelf. I am extremely disappointed. . Whitmore should be ashamed. UPDATE: No response from Whitmore - shelves sent for recycling.
