We recently purchased a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT. The term "Spyder" means convertible. GT stands for 3.8 liter engine. It's great fun to run around town and even more fun on winding country roads. I had a problem with the console. It's hard and unyielding, so it gets very uncomfortable on the elbow after a while. This center console pad is a great value solution that looks really good. Since our console does not open from the front but from the side, the rubber bands didn't make sense to me. I just carefully cut them off and screwed the fairing to the console with 3M tape. Slightly exaggerating, I used 5 strips from front to back. Problem solved! My elbow doesn't hurt anymore and the console trim looks great. Various colors are available so you can find one that matches the color scheme of your interior. Oh, did I mention your elbow won't hurt anymore?
