Plain Matte Carbon Fiber Sheet 3 Review

I build a robot frame from two of these plates. They were true to size, perfectly smooth and fit my application perfectly. I plan to buy more. The photo is a CAD rendering of how I use it.

I think it's a bit expensive for a small piece of material. But it can be processed very well, without corners and edges. Used a table saw to cut it to size and a hole saw to cut out the required hole to fit the tool. Looks great. My original intention was to make the part out of a 1/16" piece of aluminum and then paint it with crumpled black paint. Deciding to use carbon fiber material because it has a nicer finish than when purchased and will never be touched up or refinished got to.

If you need to sand any contours/then fill the container with water, add a drop or 2 of dish soap and leave the sandpaper in the water for a few minutes.
