I damaged my previous one by sticking a spoon in the bowl while the blade was spinning. He tore off a small piece of rubber from the blade and decided not to use it again. I immediately ordered a replacement! Now I'm remembering what life used to be like. I had to stop the mixer to scrape down the sides to try and get the butter and cream cheese beaten until smooth. It was a nightmare. I make cream cheese frosting, that's my business card. People love it and ask about it regularly. Without this blade, it's harder to get a smooth, light frosting because little bits of cream cheese will stick to the sides and bottom of the bowl without this whisk. It's especially difficult to pick up everything from the bottom and add it back into the mix. Now I have one of these clubs in reserve just in case, because I never want to go back to those primitive, horrible times where I actually had to empty the bowl!
