For only $35 this works amazingly well and is pretty easy to set up, understand and use. It's pretty easy to balance the camera with the two sliding arch guides they have. You need to choose the right weight and rod length and then balance. Do a simple rock test to make sure you're there and that's it. I had a TRD viewer that just never worked. I know the new gimbals are better and easier to use, but this Glidecam setup works fine most of the time, with no batteries and no fuss. One of my other issues is that I have a very wide 3D camera setup and it doesn't fit any of the gimbal systems, but that's not a problem with Glidecam at all. So there are special cases where this can do things that no stabilizer can. One area is just walking, which looks better with a planer cam as some of the up and down movement is captured by the stick, while all stabilizers have a up and down issue with each step. For an extremely low price, you're getting something that will work with almost any camera, and it works without batteries, firmware or anything else and is still pretty portable. Beautifully finished, everything is solid and high quality. Highly recommended.
