When necessary, the clock is loaded with electronic settings. Twenty years ago additional USB charging ports would have come in handy along with some other useful features; but at the age of 92 I just needed a GOOD, RELIABLE watch that would tell the exact time (and it does). When I opened the product and looked at the instructions, I was a bit confused about the installation. Just by looking at the instructions. Do not worry about it. My setup requirements were simplified, 24 hour time setting, temperature measurement and that's it for me. It's compact and tucks away next to the bed, making it easy to read without obviously disturbing sleep when needed. I'm a restless sleeper and don't need alarms, so I can't attest to the quality of this feature and others that don't interest me in my yawning years. I am very happy with the look and quality of the watch. For the price, the developers invested a lot in this watch; things that will be useful to my children and grandchildren; and one day agree with me!
