Review on 🍳 Hamilton Beach Durathon Ceramic Electric Skillet: Removable 12x15” Pan, Adjustable Temp, Reversible Design, Tempered Glass Lid (38529K) by Nick Granner

I wanted a new electric frying pan that was Teflon-free and easy to clean. The non-stick coating is excellent, for which it gets two stars. The temperature is terrible. It worked well for cooking chicken with the lid closed, but I noticed that it doesn't maintain nearly a constant temperature, it starts to simmer gently and then stops, maintaining a gentle simmer for maybe one minute out of four. Frying bacon is terrible. When the pan is dry, the bacon will turn black around the edges and pale in the middle because the temperature will swing 100 degrees every few minutes. If there's enough fat in the pan to hold the heat, it'll be a little more stable, but won't match the thermostat setting.
