this helps to some extent for networking products

I used to get 2 bars (out of 5) with random readings of 3 or 1 bar on my Nighthawk m1 and often had variances in that range. This helped lift the signal up a bit and stabilize it at 3 out of 5 bars. It can't work wonders and pull a signal out of nowhere, but what it is helps me.
