I bought this set of locks for a trip to Ecuador. We had a return flight on American Airlines from Quito to Miami. Someone who had access to the luggage tried to pick the lock by turning it. Both the wire and lock resisted what appeared to be a serious attempt to get into my pocket. I would potentially lose valuable camping gear, souvenirs, binoculars, etc. As soon as I am done writing this review I will be ordering a replacement lock from Anvil. My experience certainly proves the value of quality travel locks on your luggage. It only takes one dishonest airline or airport employee to steal hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of items from you.
