I should have read the other reviews. I bought a similar style of chenille throw on Walmart a couple of years ago. The instructions said to hand-wash it. I washed it on delicate on cold and air-dried it. I've had it a couple of years, and it's been great. Under this listing, I purchased the blue blanket recently. The instructions were the same and I went through the same washing and drying process. I don't know if one side of tassels was in terrible knots before or after the wash, but it sounds like it was like that before the wash based on other reviewers. It took me about 45 minutes using a wide tooth comb to gently untangle it. I went to give it a quick lint brush and discovered it is falling apart. If you put it on your lap, it covers you in fuzz. If you try to lint brush it, it's like it's disintegrating. I'm returning it. I gave it a couple of stars. If you only want it for decor, the rich blue color is just as lovely in person.
