We bought this for our little one who always wants to play with mom and dad. For that purpose it works well. The games are mostly comical ports of famous games (for example, Kung Fu Panda has basically replaced Super Mario Bros. with panda and bamboo graphics), but some of them are original. not exactly a top device. The fact that it's rechargeable is enough to make me happy. The screen is mediocre but to be honest it's great for this price range. As a species, I would just die to get my hands on something like this. It seemed surprisingly durable to be honest, but on the second day my wife brought it to me with a non-working sound. Tried several things to get it working but to no avail. However, for a $10 item, this is a fun little workaround. I even take it sometimes and play for several minutes even with no sound. If you're considering this as a gift, honestly for $10 it's not bad. It might be worth trying to stretch a little and get a game with more standard games, but if money is tight it will provide plenty of entertainment while it works. It won't be a Nintendo Switch, but not everyone can afford it. You can't beat him for that much money. Most consoles in this price range are basically the same and this is probably the cheapest model possible. (At the time of writing.) If you need a good distraction during a car ride, this can help, and at this price you can afford one for each child. :)
