I bought this charger to replace my old charger (different brand) which I really liked but after three and a half years I have my ear completely lost and couldn't hold it anymore. Phone. I was hoping for the same charge level, but this charger actually caused my phone to lose charge while I had Google Maps open and I was driving. Unfortunately, the hard foot on the bottom means you can connect the cable to your phone while it's in the charger. This charger also only opens or closes while driving. You can't take out your phone after turning off the car unless you take it out. Having lost my arm on my previous charger I am very reluctant to do this as I think it will strain my arms and eventually lead to failure. I've also found that it doesn't always hold my phone in the position I put it in. After an hour of driving, it's pointing at my waist instead of my face and I can't see the screen. A stop was required to set up the phone as this cannot be done while driving. In general, there are too many quirks and annoyances, so everything returns.
