In addition to being very thin they will do a better job in an area of the country where the sun is less intense. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas sun is too much for the covers to last. I love this purse! However, I am giving it four stars because in the picture, the charms are orange, light pink and teal which I LOVED and was very much looking forward to. These were so easy to put together and surprisingly sturdy. They fit nicely under the sink in our master bathroom to help declutter my and my husband's vanity.
